Apology from a Fool is one of the Side Quests in NieR Replicant. Side quests are optional tasks or quests usually requested by NPCs that players can choose to complete in order to obtain rewards. Some quests rewards are required for certain endings. 

The shopkeeper at the strange-things store in Facade has asked you to collect ten wolf hides as a gift for his wife. It seems they recently had an argument...

You collected the hides. Bring them back to the client.

You gave the hides to the client. Go to his wife (located directly above her husband) and inform her of the gift.

With the present delivered, the couple is happy once more.

 

All Facade Quests can only be started after NieR's first trip to Facade in the main storyline. The quests will appear after returning from the Barren Temple with the King of Facade.

Apology from a Fool Objectives

Kill wolves for ten wolf hides to make a coat for the Strange-Thing Shopkeeper's wife. 

Materials needed:

• 10 Wolf Hides

Apology from a Fool Walkthrough

•  Speak to the Strange-Thing Shopkeeper in Facade

He reveals he's been cheating on his wife and she found out, so she kicked him out. He wants to apologize with a present. He wants to make her a coat from wolf hides, but he doesn't know where to find them.  

• Wolf Hides - Kill ten wolves in the desert and harvest their wolf hides. Then return them to the Strange-Thing Shopkeeper.

He will ask NieR to speak with his wife

• Speak with his wife on the floor above

The quest will end when the conversation with his wife is finished. It will take you back to the Strange-Thing Shopkeeper and he will reward you.
