One-handed Swords are Weapons in Nier Replicant. One-handed Swords are the only available class in the first half of the game, making it the most used class of Weapon throughout the span of the story. In general, they are the fastest of all classes due to their light weight, but are also lower in damage.
One-handed Swords' combos effects are as follows:
- Ground special attack: Forward thrust that deals no damage, but knocks opponents back, breaking their guard.
- Airborne/jump attack: The Protagonist lands from the air by stabbing his sword into the ground, damaging enemies in an AOE radius.
- Dodge attack: The Protagonist performs a horizontal slash at the end of his dodge, damaging enemies in front of him.
