The Shade Army is one of the Side Quests in NieR Replicant. Side quests are optional tasks or quests usually requested by NPCs that players can choose to complete in order to obtain rewards. Some quests rewards are required for certain endings.
Collect five broken batteries and five broken motors to repair the elevator in the Junk Heap.
You collected the repair parts. Bring them back to the younger brother.
The elevator is back online. Defeat all the Shades on the second floor of the Junk Heap
The Shades are defeated. Report back to the shop at the Junk Heap.
You reported back to the younger brother, but destroying robots is the only thing on his mind...

- Speak to Gideon at the Two Brothers Weaponry
He needs parts to repair the elevator in Junk Heap
- Collect the materials Gideon requests for and return them to him
- five broken batteries - dropped from the flying robots in Junk Heap
- five broken motors - dropped from the flying robots in Junk Heap
You collected the repair parts. Bring them back to the younger brother.
The elevator is back online.
- Defeat all the Shades on the second floor of the Junk Heap and report back to the younger brother to end the quest
