Staying Afloat is one of the Side Quests in NieR Replicant. Side quests are optional tasks or quests usually requested by NPCs that players can choose to complete in order to obtain rewards. Some quests rewards are required for certain endings.
The man with the red sash by the dock needs materials to fix a boat. Collect five logs, twenty dented metal boards, and ten stripped bolts.
You collected the materials. Bring them back to the client.
You gave the materials to the client.

- 5 Logs
- 20 Dented Metal Boards
- 10 Stripped Bolts
Staying Afloat Walkthrough
- Speak with the man by the Seafront docks in a red sash
He has a boat that needs repairs and needs some materials. He needs NieR to collect five logs, twenty dented metal boards, and ten stripped bolts.
- Collect the materials needed and return them to the client
- 5 logs - can be bought from the Material Shopkeeper in the Village.
- 20 dented metal boards - common drops from the Junk Heap robots
- 10 stripped bolts - a common drop from the Junk Heap, but can also be found in some Seafront crates
Returning the materials to the client will end the quest
