Key Fragments are one of the Key Items in Nier Replicant and NieR Replicant ver.1.2247. They are required for unlocking the Shadowlord's Castle
Key Fragments Information
The Key Fragments are the Key Items in Act II. Their existence became known after their first return to the Lost Shrine and they discovered the location of the Shadowlord's Castle Portal. All five must be obtained in order to unseal the portal and unlock the castle.
There are five Key Fragments in total. The first one is acquired first as a "Mysterious Stone Fragment" upon the discovery of the portal entrance. They are usually obtained after a major boss fight sequence. After investigating them a little, Popola will be able to direct NieR to their general whereabouts.

- The Law of Robotics Key - Junk Heap after the defeat of P-33 & Kalil
- The Memory Tree Key - Forest of Myth after interacting with the Divine Tree
