  • Mandrake Leaf was intended to be used as an ingredient for a cure to seasickness, but it is discovered to have other energizing capabilities instead.

When picking up the mandrake leaf, the Shopkeeper seems to have a strange reaction. 

  • Strange-Thing Shopkeeper: "A mandrake leaf? Oh ho! I never would have expected such a request from you! No worries, no worries! We're all men here after all, yes?"

It might have not worked as a seasickness cure, but the new merchant's wife seems to enjoy it

  • Resident: " I thought it would help my seasickness, but instead I made a....Well, let's just call it an eneergizer, eh?
    ...And my wife is just thrilled! Grawwwl!"
    Nier: " I didn't need to know any of that"
