Complex Machine is one of the Raw Materials in Nier Replicant and NieR Replicant ver.1.2247. Raw Materials are used to upgrade your Weapons and you will find them in various Locations throughout your playthrough of the game. They can also be dropped by some Enemies as you defeat them.

Complex Machine Acquisition
- Found in drops from Giant Shades.
- Underground Facility, Lost Shrine, Southern Plains: These will be where the Mini boss Shade will spawn.
- Forest of Myth (Dream): This is the best way to farm those mats, keep entering the dreams until you have the exact amount. The other mats relate with this are Simple and Elaborate Machines.

Complex Machine Notes & Trivia
- Complex Machine is a rare material in which is only exclusive to one enemy and would take a while to farm, I suggest getting this while progressing the story for example also found on Lost Shrine then do the rest of it in other grindy areas.
Load more
2nd floor of Lost Shrine, run past all enemies (even the ones in the small rooms), kill large shade, run back out and repeat. Takes about 45 seconds per run, I got 3 complex machines in 12 runs.
