  • Upon the Shadowlord's defeat, Grimoire Weiss tells NieR to call Yonah back to him using his memories.
  • When asked who does Yonah love most, players must answer with the protagonist's name to achieve the ending.
  • Yonah returns to NieR and they are finally reunited. In the afterlife, the Shadowlord is also reunited with his Yonah
  • After this ending, you can continue on this save and will begin the game from ACT II. You must replay this save to unlock further endings.

Ending B

  • Ending B reveals the perspective of the Shadowlord upon his defeat
  • Ending B unlocks the Shadowlord's flashback of the Prologue.
  • His defeat represents the failure of Project Gestalt and the future of all the Gestalt Shades. His sadness is joined by the other fallen opponents of NieR Replicant.
  • NieR (Shadowlord) is finally reunited with Yonah in the afterlife
  • After this ending, you can continue on this save and will begin the game from ACT II. You must replay this save to unlock further endings.

Ending E

How to Get the New Ending in Nier Replicant 1.22

Ending E is included in Nier Replicant v 1.22 (2021 Remaster) - All other endings must have been completed and save data must have been erased.

  • After completing Ending D, start a new playthrough. You will not be able to name your character the same as before.
  • Play the game naturally until the Aerie encounter where you team up with Kaine. Make sure to SAVE before heading to the Aerie!
  • After you defeat the big shade and Kaine is laying on the ground, you will approach her to bring her back - but this will trigger you to become Kaine instead
  • A play segment as Kaine ensues, where you will visit the Forest of Myth, reunite with Emil and Weiss, and have the option to "bring back" your original Ending D save file (only one of them - make sure you DONT save over the Kaine save you made)
  • After you see the resolution, you can continue to play your Ending D save and get a new weapon.
  • This segment as Kaine is the only opportunity to get the "Daredevil" trophy
  • It's advisable to do the speedrun trophy from this fresh playthrough save since you had to restart and have done a lot of "Kid Nier" already. Reloading the save and going to Kaine again will not give you the Kaine play segment again so you can continue and finish the game in under 15 hours from here.

Original: Ending E is the final extended written ending that acts a sequel of NieR Replicant. It is only found in the book Grimoire NieR as a passage written in Japanese but is not included as a playthrough. It reveals an extension of Kainé's story after NieR's disappearance.

  • The forgotten NieR is brought back as a young boy and reunited with Kainé who is reformed by the memory tree in the Forest of Myth
  • Devola & Popola are killed, and Project Gestalt fails
  • All Shades and Gestalts continue their relapse and Replicants will have no data from their corresponding Shades, so replicants are expected to die out as well
